We’re wrapping up a membership drive on May 1st and are hoping to get 50 new members. We need more personal reaches to get the word out beyond our familiar social media strategies so we're asking you to help.

DO THIS: Send an email or message to 10 of your circus pals and invite them to join, TODAY!

Because April 20 was World Circus Day 2024, and because May 1 is First of May (when new circus artists traditionally started their first contracts) the American Circus Alliance is celebrating with a membership drive. Artists, Riggers, Producers, Company Owners, Directors, Enthusiasts, Equipment Builders and more! All are Welcome!

I’m a member and I’d really like for you to join and add your voice. It’s affordable (even free if you need it!) and super important to supporting us all in a stronger circus ecosystem!

Just In the past year, the American Circus Alliance has.........

Created a 'Touring Shows' webpage to showcase US-based circus companies.
Conducted 2 cycles of our mentorship programs, which partnered 96 mentors and mentees in mutual professional development.
Ran 2 virtual casting events (Act Pitches)
bringing together artists and leading industry producers/casting agents.
Hosted in-person events at 3 major festivals, raising the profile of US circus arts at MICC, VivaFest, and APAP.
Provided members with monthly get-togethers and newsletters to network, gather, and celebrate ourselves and one another
Created a webpage featuring all our member circus shows and shared them with the American Performing Arts Presenters conference in NYC

WHAT ARE WE DOING NEXT?

We offer 2 Mentorship Programs and 2 Act Pitch virtual auditions a year.
We are working with the federal and some local governments to get circus recognized as a fundable art form.
We offer regular free workshops on topics our members request including - insurance, how to tour with a circus tent, marketing for circus, how to get started as an artist, etc
We are working with theaters and presenters to develop a touring network for circus shows throughout the USA

Membership is affordable and we offer pay it forward membership - so if you have extra resources you can buy a membership to donate, and if you need help paying for a membership, this means we have free options for you to.
